Cookie Training:  CORRECTION  Thursday, December  8^th at 630 pm at Good Sheppard Lutheran Church downstairs hosted by the Valley-wide Cookie Manager – Ola Williams.

Service Units (meetings & manager contacts)

Wasilla Service Unit: Manager -Cheryl Hampton 357-1994, 355-1994 stamping@gci.net  Meetings are the 4^th Thursday of the month from 6:30 – 8 pm at Good Sheppard Lutheran Church (downstairs). Free childcare, finger foods, and door prizes.  No meetings in December.

Palmer Service Unit: Manager Michelle Wolfmeier 745-1523, 715-9222 mwolfmeier@yahoo.com and Co-Service Unit Manager Joanne Wise 746-6400, 354-3499 veazel@yahoo.com> Meetings are the 2^nd Tuesday of the month from 7-8 pm at Swanson elementary in the library. No meeting in December.

Little Su Service Unit: Manager Ola Williams 495-5283, 841-5651 gsowl003@hotmail.com  rd Tuesday of the month from 630-730 at Willow United Methodist Church. No meeting in December.

Mostly Wasilla service unit events, but includes Palmer.  Regardless of which Service Unit you are in, you can go to any of these. Includes events, meetings, event forms, and great information. You may register at Learning Essentials or the Palmer UPS store.  Reminder for events – pre registration required and checks only – no cash.

The New Books -  Girl Guide to Girl Scouting

The old Try-It, Junior Badge book, Interest Patch book, and leader guides for those books are now obsolete   The council store has a limited supply of those corresponding patches on-hand.  If you are still using the old books this year, please call the council today to purchase the patches you will need.  National is no longer manufacturing those patches.  If the local council store does not have the patch you want, they can contact other council stores across the nation to find what you need.    There is a possibility that we may not be able to get them though. 

The Journey books (3 for each age level) are here to stay.  They books and patches are current and available.

The Council patches are also here to stay.

Replacing the old Try-It, Junior Badge book, Interest Patch book, and leader guides for those books are the Girls Guides to Girl Scouting.  To learn more check out the links below.

Troop Bank Accounts

We just found out yesterday that FNBA switched us to “paperless”  bank statement and we cannot go back to “paper” statements. This was an unexpected change that we had not anticipated.  We are work on getting leaders online access quickly so you can access your monthly statements. In the meantime, if a troop leader needs their statement, please email the troop number/name to Tricia tmatytas@girlscoutsalaska.org . She will then access the FNBA website and email your statement to you.
